Due to the lack of precipitation and low relative humidity levels, the Jasper Fire Department is issuing a Total Outdoor Burn Ban effective November 13, 2024. This burn ban will be in effect until January 1, 2025.

The burn ban applies to ALL outdoor burning including camp fires and warming fires with no exceptions. Officials will reevaluate the situation towards the end of December and determine whether the ban must be extended an additional period of time. Should the weather change and this area receives appreciable rainfall, we will reevaluate the ban potentially ending sooner than anticipated.

We need everyone to understand and be aware that we are in dangerous fire conditions, and the City of Jasper, Georgia asks for your help to protect the public.
